When we leave Lavinia at the Kinderhaus we are serene. We know that we are giving our most precious possession to people who will watch over her, help her to grow in the best possible way and make her feel the warmth that cannot be missing when bringing up children who are still so young.

School has been an extraordinary experience, a highly innovative, effective and fruitful teaching method that has turned our son's schooling into an exciting experience that we will keep among our fondest memories. In the morning, Pierfrancesco was ready well in advance and he was the one who urged us to drive him to school because he wanted to arrive on time. When he left school, he would complain that the time had flown by, and when asked how it had gone and what he had done, he would answer with joy and enthusiasm.

I want to thank the Kinder school very much for what you are doing. Andrea has grown a lot and the tools (teaching systems/methods of applying these systems) have a very high value for me. Our educational programs

Toddlers

From 18 months to 3 years old

The first step towards learning comes from interest and play.

In these first years we support the growth of both individual and collective areas of learning: the observation of the world around them, the management of spaces and movements, the ability to become more autonomous physically and verbally, learning new words, formulating speeches and managing their emotions.

Through games and educational activities, the teachers accompany the children in a path of growth that leads them to have confidence in themselves and others, to increase the ability to socialize respecting the rules and the sharing of spaces and games.

Nursery

From 3 to 5 years old

For children of this age, learning is pure fun, by playing they discover themselves, others and the world around them. We accompany them in their social and emotional growth thanks to a reassuring and familiar environment.

During the years of nursery school they learn to express themselves, to get to know their emotions, to relate to others in a group situation, away from home.

For us, one of the most important “subjects” to teach is empathy. We encourage them to create positive relationships with others from an early age. We also encourage them to get to know their feelings and the feelings of others, while learning to respect them.

Through the help of adults the children learn to follow and respect some simple rules that accustom them to routine. They are encouraged to explore, to discover and to talk about their experiences and their feelings.

Preschool

From 5 to 6 years old

The aim of our preschool is to prepare the children for elementary school, gradually immersing them into the English language and school didactics. Passing from nursery school, where learning is more playful, to a situation where greater concentration and discipline is required is not easy. Thanks to the Preschool we provide children with linguistic and attitudinal skills to face this passage serenely.

Primary School

From 6 to 11 years old

We want to turn education into an exciting journey through the students’ knowledge of themselves, of their passions and of the world around them. We support the pupils’ intellectual growth by involving them in educational projects, external experiences and activities so that “knowledge“ can be a pleasure for them. These are years of growth and the external environment is crucial to acquire more complex social behaviours. For this reason, besides an excellent school education, we aim at transmitting positive values in order to make our students open-minded, curious, constructive and self-confident individuals.

Middle Years

From 11 to 16 years old At the Kinder College private middle school students grow up and mature in a cosmopolitan environment. Our aim from a formative point of view is to guarantee an excellent education and an outstanding method of study in order to make them be successful in the following years. But not only that. These are years of deep changes and of the construction of personality, therefore it is important that our teachers support the students in their emotional and intellectual growth. It is important to transmit the pleasure of knowledge by making them think about the importance of having positive relationships with other people, of being constructive and not giving up to peer pressure.

The International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) recognises Kinder International School Bologna as an authorised IB school for PYP classes - Primary Years Programme (Preschool and Primary School).
