Interview with Lida: Education and Creativity in an International Environment

Lida teaches Computer Lab at Kinder International School Bologna. She grew up with a mother who was a teacher and who dedicated her life to renewing herself and studying to keep her job stimulating. This example inspired Lida to pursue a career in education, finding gratification and opportunities for personal and professional growth in the activities she carries out with children. During a phase of reflection, she embraced change and discovered the joy of working with students, transforming every day into an opportunity for learning and innovation.

A moment of transformation during the pandemic

The pandemic was a time of great challenge for Lida, but also of deep inspiration. Despite limited means and physical distance, she was struck by the resilience and creativity of her students. They were able to find stimuli and resources to create handmade board games, useful for reviewing school subjects. This unexpected result highlighted the ability of children to adapt and innovate even in the most difficult circumstances.

Collaboration at the heart of teaching

For Lida, the most rewarding part of her work in an international school is the collaboration between teachers. Working together towards a common goal – the education of children – is a source of great satisfaction. This synergy creates a rich and stimulating educational environment, where each teacher contributes their skills and passion.

A dream of creativity for the school

Lida dreams of creating a small atelier where students can display the products of their creativity and technique. Although this already happens in part thanks to the tinkering activities integrated into all subjects, Lida would like to encourage this aspect further. She believes that an atelier could be a place where students’ creativity can flourish, combining art and technology in concrete projects.

The future of learning is in technology

Lida wants her contribution to the school community to be remembered for the importance of integrating technology into learning. She firmly believes that technology enhances education and prepares students for the future, giving them essential tools and skills to face the challenges of the modern world. His experience demonstrates that technological innovation can transform teaching and make learning a dynamic and engaging adventure.
