Tita Ruggeri, Drama Teacher at Kinder International School Bologna, shares her passion for theater and her commitment to conveying the importance of theatrical expression to students. With enthusiasm and dedication, Tita tells us her story and her dreams for the future of the school.
A love born on the school benches
Tita’s passion for theater has deep roots, dating back to high school. “My first show as a student was an overwhelming experience; I never imagined I could experience such strong emotions on a stage,” she says. She then recalls another unforgettable moment: “After years, I was able to stage a show of my own. It was a great achievement.”
The satisfaction of teaching theater
Tita finds the most rewarding part of her job in the enthusiasm that students show when they work with a text, interpret a scene or try their hand at improvisation. “It’s fantastic to see how each one, with their own character and qualities, manages to bring the characters to life,” she explains. The variety of interpretations makes each lesson a unique and engaging experience.
A dream for the future: a school theater
If she could make one wish come true for her school, Tita would like a dedicated theater space, a theater just for the school. She imagines a place where students and teachers can create, rehearse, and perform, making theater an integral part of school life.
The importance of theater in personal growth
For Tita, theater is much more than just an activity: it is a tool for personal growth. “Theater allows you to live different lives, and through these experiences you can understand your own life better,” she says. Acting, for her, is about exploring emotions, learning from others, and ultimately living your own life better.
